The Most Ancient [Pre-Existent] (al-aqdam), the Most Great (al-a`zam), the Most Transcendent (al-a`la)

We did indeed ornament the Laylat al-Qadr (Night of Destiny [Power]) with the Letter "H" (al-ha' =  abjad 5)  to the end that the people of Baha' might be certain about this Greatest, Mighty Name (al-ism al-a`zam al-`azim) [= Baha' = "[The] Splendor [of God]"). With it the al-Furqan (= Qur'an) was ornamented aforetime [in Q. 97:1a]. When it was  complemented with the letter "w" (al-waw) the [number] six (al-sitta) [= the abjad numerical value of the  letter "W", waw) was made manifest [as thou should realize] if thou would be numbered among the mystic knowers (al-`arifin).

Blessed be such as have taken firm hold of thereof, detatched from all the worlds. Such is assuredly the Concealed Mystery (sirr al-mastur) with which the  sacred books of God (kutub Allah), the Powerful, the Help in Peril, the Mighty, the Noble,  have been ornamented. Wherefore, hath He stipulated [q-d-r- 'ordained'], the measures of all things (maqadir kulli shay' in) in the Scriptural Tablets (al-alwah) and hath differentiated every Wise Decree (al-amr). Such as reject this [clear evidence] should be numbered among the heedless and such as do draw nigh on this account, should be accounted the [precious] gemstones of  the world of creation (jawahir al-khalq). We indeed do bear witness that the latter should be reckoned among those who are nigh unto God (al-muqarrabin) [cf. the Cherubim]. Should ye but apprehend this, O My loved ones! We would assuredly, through a Bounty which cometh from Us, reckon thee to be numbered amongst such as are truly grateful.
