Translation Stephen Lambden 2015
The Spirit (al-ruh) within the Horizon of Holiness (ufq al-quds), from the apex of the two wells (taraf al-jubbayn), hath indeed shone forth (mashriq an).
O Letter of Eternity (harf al-baqa')!
Put ye on the two sandals of detchment (na`alayn al-inqatta`a) [see Q. 20:12b] then walk forth upon the Most Elevated Heights (rafraf al-a`la)! Then praised be He Who created for Me this land of Eternity (ard al-baqa'), whereupon there did not even tread the feet of anyone among the chosen ones (al-awliya').
So Praised be My Lord, the Most Elevated!
This Tablet concludes as follows :
This is that which was inscribed upon the Tablet of Eternity (lawh al-baqa') by the Supreme Pen (qalam al-a`la). Then glorified be He Who created Me in whom is a Wisdom (hikmat) expressive of the Mysteries (min al-asrar) which hath neither been witnessed nor envisaged .
So Praised be My Lord the Most High!
