In the Name of the Lord (Bism al-rabb)
[1]
Today is not the "Day of Questiong" (yawm al-su'al) [cf. Q. 7:172]! This since thou hast already hearkened unto the [eschatological] Call of thy Lord (nida' al-rabb)!
[2]
Say:
Labbayka, "Here am I !"
O Beloved of the worlds (mahbub al-`alamin).
[3]
Gaze ye then in the direction of [the Apostle of Jesus] Peter!
[4] He questioned his Lord [God - Jesus] before the "Day of the "Questiong" (al-su'al cf. Q. 7:172) and he followed the Spirit (al-ruh) [Jesus, without questioning] with manifest certitude (bi-yaqin mubin)! [see Matt 4:22f]
[5] The "sun" of idle fancies hath assuredly been eclipsed and the Luminary of Certitude (nayyir al-iqan) dawned forth when the All-Merciful (al-rahman) came in his "Great Glory" (bi-majdi-hi al-kabir) [Matt 24:30b and synoptic //s].
[6] Then recollect that when the Spirit (al-ruh) [Jesus] came forth the divines (`ulama') rejected him while there turned unto him [Jesus] he who was [those who were] engaged in the catching of fish! (s-y-d VIII al-hawt). [7] Wherefore did the servant (al-`abd) [Peter, immediately] recollect Thee with distinct sincerity (khalis an) and for the sake of God, the Mighty, the Praiseworthy [and come to immediate recognition, see Matt 4:18ff]..
[8]
So cease being occupied with idle fancies!
For this is the [eschatological]
Day of Unveiling (yawm al-mukashifat) and the Witnessing (al-shuhud) of the Supreme Parorama (al-manzar al-akbar) [Baha'u'llah]!
[9]
Return ye then the gaze!
This such that thou might indeed witness the Light (al-nur) shining from the Luminous Horizon (al-ufq al-munir).
[10]
The Word (al-kalimat) hath indeed appeared which was concealed aforetime [11] Ponder ye then and be ye numbered among such as are far sighted!
[12]
Matthew chapter 4 = Peter come to immediate faith!
"18 And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. 19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. 20 And they straightway left their nets, and followed him....
Cf. also Baha'u'llah "Come ye after Me and I will make you to be the quickeners of humankind"...
