In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

"'That, so that he may know I betrayed him not secretly, and that God guides not the guile of the treacherous. " (Q. 12:52, trans. Arberry).

The Dhikr-Remembrance of the Face of thy Lord
is he who, "No God is there except Him" (لا اله الّا هو) , the Ancient of Days (al-qadim).
And He is God Who hath ever been Almighty (`aziz), One Wise (hakim an)!
[5]
So Hearken ye then
unto that which hath been divinely inspired (w-h-y) unto thee [the Bab] from thy Lord.
Thou were indeed [like Moses] upon the Mount (al-tur) conversing with God (mukalliman `an Allah), the True One (al-haqq). And He is God Who hath ever been witness unto all things (kull shay').
[6]
And We, We indeed put Adam to the test by means of Our Tree (shajarat)
[Comment = the Biblical "tree of the knowledge of good and evil" (Heb. עֵץ הַדַּעַת טוֹב וָרָע ; see Genesis 2:9; 3:2ff and Qur'an 20:120; 7:19ff, 2:36-7]
And We commanded the angels (al-mala'ika)
regaring prostration before the All-Merciful (bi-sajdat al-rahman) for the sake of Our Dhikr (the messianic Remembrance). [7] Wherefore did Adam draw near unto Our Tree (shajarat) and he was on the part of God reckoned within the Book [registering] Elevated ones (kitab al-`aliyyin) yet [subsequently he was considered one] unjust (zallam an). And He is God who hath ever been well informed about all things (kull shay').
[8]
We indeed inhibited Satan (al-shaytan) from performing prostration before the Dhikr (Remembrance)!
We spoke to him [saying] "Come ye forth!
For thou [Satan] hath ever been among those accursed (mal`un an) in al-Sijjin ("Hell")
We assuredly taught Adam the station (maqam) of Our Dhikr (messianic Remembrance) for in this respect he was even as an Angel of the heavens (mala'ika al-samawat) and the earth, being one prostrate (masjud an) [before the Dhikr-Remembrance].

[X] And We, We did indeed, with the permission of God, converse with Moses in the Tree of the Mount (shajarat al-ṭūr). And We caused to be made manifest something of Thy Light (nūr) upon the Mount (al-ṭūr) and such as were thereon but only to the extent of the eye of a needle. At this the mountain (al-jabal) [Sinai] was decimated becoming but particles of dust (habā’ al-manshūr an =هَبَاءً مَّنثُورًا) [Q.25:23b] and Moses fell down in a swoon! And as for his people, they had indeed died, fleeing unto God, the Exalted.” (QA 53 in INBMC III:104). ”
Towards the beginning of the Sūrat al-Sabr (the Surah of Patience, QA 53), the Bab is called by God to listen unto what has been divinely inspired unto himself in the light of the fact that like Moses he was “upon the Mount”, Sinai (al-tur) conversing with God (mukalliman `an Allah), the True One (al-haqq).” (QA 53 in INBMC III:102). Later in this same surah the Bab adds more details when he states,
And We, We had indeed, with the permission of God, conversed with Moses in the Tree of the Mount (shajarat al-ṭūr). And We caused to be make manifest something of Thy Light (nūr) upon the Mount (al-ṭūr) itself along with such as were thereon but only to the extent of the eye of a needle! At this the mountain (al-jabal) [Sinai] was و فاندكّ الجبل decimated becoming but particles of dust (هَبَاءً مَّنثُورًا , habā’ al-manshūr an) [= Q. 25:23b] and Moses fell down in a swoon! And his people died, fleeing unto God, the Exalted.” (QA 53 in INBMC III: 104).
