بسم اللّه الرّحمن الرّحيم

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

"When they despaired of moving him, they conferred privily apart. Said the eldest of them, 'Do you not know how your father has taken a solemn pledge from you by God, and aforetime you failed regarding Joseph? Never will I quit this land, until my father gives me leave, or God judges in my favour; He is the best of judges." (Q. 12:80, trans. Arberry).

ذكر اللّه الاعظم

علی السّطر الاوّل فوق السّطر الثّالث من طلسم الرّابع الّذی قد كان فی امّ الكتاب علی ثانی اثنی السّطور حول النّار مستوراً

The Most Great Remembrance of God (dhikr Allah al-a`zam) 

is upon the Primal Line (al-sitr al-awwal), above the third line (`fawq al-satr al-thalith) of the Fourth Talisman (tilisam al-rabi`) who hath ever been in the Archetypal-Mother Book (umm al-kitab)  upon the second aspect of the twofold [Dual] line (`ala thani ithna al-sitr) concealed about the Theophanic Fire (hawl- al-nar mastur an).

و انّا نحن قد اوحينا اليك من سرّ القلم ليكون النّاس بايات اللّه و ذكره علی الحقّ بالحقّ شهيداً ه

And We, verily, We inspired unto Thee something of the Secret Mysterey of the Pen. This to the end that the people might be bear witness unto the [revealed] verses of God (ayat Allah) and, in Truth, in very Truth, His Dhikr (Remembrance)!

يا ايّها المؤمنون

ان كنتم فی شكّ ممّا قد انزل اللّه علی عبدنا بالحقّ فاسئلوا الّذين يقرؤن الكتاب من قبلكم فانّ اللّه قد جعل بالحقّ اسم الذّكر فی كلّ الكتاب فی نقطة النّار مستوراً ه

O thou Believers!

Should thou be in doubt regarding that which God hath, in very truth, revealed unto Our servant (`abd = the Bab) then enquire ye all of such as recite the Book which came prior to Us [= the Qur'an]...
