Sayyid ʻAbd Allāh ibn Muhammad Riḍā Shubbar Kazimi

Recently printed is the commentary of the Shi`i  sage Sayyid ʻAbd Allāh ibn Muhammad Riḍā Shubbar Kazimi (1888/1774-d. 1242/1826;  a contemporary of Shaykh Ahmad). It is entitled :

Muḥammad Taqī ibn Muḥammad Bāqir Najafī Iṣfahānī (d.1332/1914)

  • Hādhā kitāb Ḥaqāʼiq al-asrār. Tehran /Isfahan]?] : [?], 1296/1879. Text in Arabic, marginal commentary in Persian. On the margin is his Asrār al-ziyārah wa-burhān al-inābah... A microfilm copy is held in Princeton University Arabic collection. So W-Cat.

In Baha'i circles, we may note here,  this cleric has come to be known as the `Son of the Wolf' (Ibn-i Dhib)  for whom  Baha'-Allah wrote an important apologetic text (c.1891). His father Muhammad Baqir Isfahani (ADD) was a notorious anti-Baha'i Isfahani mujtahid.
